Achieving highly as one of the best performing students at a top 10 UK grammar school, Jonathan was accepted to read Economics and Management at St. Hilda’s College, Oxford, matriculating in 2015. After graduating with upper-second class honours, Jonathan emigrated to China to pursue a career in education, spending two years teaching English as a second language. He then spent a further year as a senior teacher, managing a team to uphold the highest educational standards through constant training, development, and coaching.
Jonathan then transferred to an international school, working on an integrated theme-based curriculum design project alongside an extracurricular and learning support programme. During this time, he was also a coach for the school’s Model United Nations and World Scholars’ Cup teams. His final year responsibilities focused on integrating a college preparation programme, from gaining academic credits to building confidence in debating and public speaking.
Jonathan also has extensive experience in one-to-one coaching for university applications, helping students to master verbal and written communication skills, interview techniques, and clear critical thinking processes. Many of his students have gone on to study at their dream schools, including Trinity College, Dublin, the University of Sydney, and University of California Irvine.
